ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ offers a discounted tuition rate for all members of the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their eligible dependents. To qualify for this program, William Carey is offering, the following criteria must be met:

1. United States Armed Forces member, veteran, or eligible dependent.
2. Full or part-time student.
3. Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, with the exception of the Master of Biomedical Science and the Master of Occupational Therapy programs.
4. 2.50 minimum cumulative Grade Point Average.
5. In-person or online courses.
6. Eligibility for military benefits through the Veterans Administration or other sources does not impact eligibility for this discount.
7. The military discount reduces your tuition rate by at least 45%. Any internal scholarships you may have been awarded will be reduced by the same percentage.

The discount is NOT associated with the Veterans Administration. This is a discount provided by ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ. The Military Tuition Discount will only reduce the tuition per hour rate. All other fees will remain the same.

Steps to request certification for Military/VA Education Benefits

• Visit to check your eligibility.
• Visit and print your letter of benefits.
• If you are eligible for benefits, you will receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the VA up to 30 days after applying for benefits.

• New students: Submit your Certificate of Eligibility no later than 30 days before the beginning of the semester to va@wmcarey.edu. Certification cannot be completed until the COE is received, but the certification process will be started.
• Service members should submit official military transcripts to admissions@wmcarey.edu for evaluation.
• Obtain a copy of your official military transcripts:
  • for the Army, Marine Corps, and Navy
  • for the Air Force
• Submit your College Financing Plan to va@wmcarey.edu.
• Submit your Financial Aid offer letter to va@wmcarey.edu.
• Discounted tuition: Submit your DD Form 214, NGB Form 22, Military Statement of Service, DD Form 1172-2 (DEERS), or other qualifying documentation to FGalardo@wmcarey.edu .
• JROTC Scholarship: Submit a copy of your high school transcript showing participation in JROTC as a junior and senior to admissions@wmcarey.edu .

• Contact the School Certifying Official (SCO) for your campus to obtain an Advisement Form (AF) by emailing va@wmcarey.edu.
• Confirm with your academic advisor that you are using VA benefits and obtain the advisor's signature on the Advisement Form.
• Submit your completed Advisement Form with all required signatures to va@wmcarey.edu.
• Important: Your Advisement Form must be submitted every semester in which you plan to use VA Education Benefits. It should be submitted no later than 60 days before the beginning of the semester.
• If you are using the Army IgnitED tuition assistance program, complete the Evaluated Degree Plan with your advisor. The Evaluated Degree Plan must be submitted by the soldier through the soldier's Army IgnitED account.
• Important:
  • Notify your School Certifying Official before adding, dropping, or withdrawing from classes. These changes will affect your enrollment status.
  • If you withdraw from classes after certification or after classes begin, you may be responsible for all or part of the tuition and fees associated with the class. This may include housing, book, and other stipend allowances.
