The Registrar's Office serves as the liaison between the Veterans Administration and ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ students.

  • Assistance for students wishing to apply for VA benefits
  • Following receipt of the student’s VA Certificate of Eligibility the school will allow CH 31 and CH33 students to attend and participate in a program of education. While payment is pending from the VA the school will not prevent enrollment, assess a late fee to the student, require the student to secure additional funding, or deny the student access to any resources (access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities) available to other students who have satisfied their tuition and fee bills to the institution.

  • Apply for benefits . 
  • Provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility letter from the VA to the School Certifying Official for your campus. 
  • If you are active duty, guard, or reserve contact your ESO (Education   Services  Officer) or installation commander before enrolling.  

Chapter 30 Montgomery “GI Bill” — Active Duty

The VA pays the student directly, and the student is responsible for paying the university.

Chapter 31 Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)

The university invoices the VA for payment.

Chapter 33 Post-9/11 “GI Bill”

The VA pays the university all or part of the student's tuition and fees based on tuition status. The student receives housing and other stipend allowances. If the benefit does not cover 100% of the eligible amount, the student is responsible for the remaining balance.

Chapter 35 Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA)

The VA pays the student directly, and the student is responsible for paying the university.

Chapter 1606 Montgomery “GI Bill” — Selected Reserve

The VA pays the student directly, and the student is responsible for paying the university.

Army IgnitED

Army IgnitED is the Army's platform through which eligible soldiers select an education pathway and request financial assistance. An Evaluated Degree Plan is required to use this tuition assistance program.

Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA)

FTA is paid directly to the university. It may be used for undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.

JROTC Scholarship

A scholarship is available for students who successfully completed JROTC as a high school junior and senior. The scholarship is applied directly to the student's tuition.

Military and Dependent Tuition Discount

A discounted tuition rate is available for military service members and their eligible dependents. The tuition discount is applied before other benefits.

State Educational Assistance Program (SEAP)

SEAP is a general scholarship for Mississippi National Guard service members attending accredited institutions of higher learning in Mississippi for undergraduate degree programs.
